There are lots of people calling themselves coaches. I've been fortunate to hear Jim coach dozens of time, and I can easily say he's the real thing. What impresses me about Jim is his ability to adapt to the specific situation. That is, he coaches a person in the style that's best for them. Jim doesn't have a "one style fits all" attitude. Jim has been a memorable contribution and a bright spot in my life! His coaching
offers insight and information when I seek it. He is not afraid to tell me what he
really hears me saying so that I really have to come to grips with myself. However,
it is so refreshing to have that come from someone who is also non-judgmental! It is
truly OK to be me for a change no matter what the rest of the world thinks! He

Jim is a role model for a successful coaching business but very much conveys that a
successful coaching business looks different for every unique person according to
their strengths and what they want their coaching business to look like. It is also
very true that when I can't see that vision clearly or get discouraged on the
journey, Jim, as my coach, is there to pick me up and assure me he still holds that
vision for me, ready to be recaptured by me! He refuses to let me give up on what he
knows I want most in life whether it be personal or professional yet he works within
reality and encourages sensible, realistic actions on my part. When I need a break
or need to readjust my time schedule to accomplish my expectations (slower or faster)
it is never a matter of not being OK, it's a matter of how I am going to accomplish
my dreams and what the new time schedule or expectation have become. Even when
having a fulltime coaching business seems so far out in the future, he seems to
really know, as I do, that someday, somehow I WILL accomplish that. It just isn't a
question of "whether or not", it is the questions of how and when. He seems to "see"
or "feel" the gift I know I have for coaching. He hears my passion for contributing
my coaching to the world by helping others create the happiness and fulfillment that
each one of us deserves!

If Jim ceased to be my coach today, (which isn't happening :), I would consider him
one of the most significant people I have encountered in my life. Having my own life

Jim more than lived up to the high expectations I had for our coaching. Indeed, he far exceeded them. Our very first conversation was about the various professional projects on which I wanted his mentoring and counsel. Jim went much deeper. He noticed, and pointed out to me, that I was less in need of advice on completing the work, and much more in need of a sense of joy in doing the work. One of the things I like best about Jim Vuocolo is his laugh. I sometimes (often?)
take life too seriously. He�s helped me with that. He has a way of asking questions
that helps me look at my circumstances from another perspective, one that is lighter,
not so serious. His questions help me get un-stuck. And his wonderful, accepting
laugh reminds me that life is good.

Because he strongly suggested that I keep notes, I can look back and see how far
I�ve come. He�s a slave driver � the homework, the goal setting, the relentless
questions to which he insists on having answers, the note-taking. I am so grateful.
These things all helped me learn to be a better, more focused problem-solver.
And for every problem I presented, he somehow reached inside me to help me
find my own solution. I came away from every coaching call feeling capable.
We worked on priorities, balance, centering, boundaries, having plan B if plan A
didn�t work out. He suggested books to read, quoted sources, gave me comparable
examples. Made me KNOW I was extremely competent and extremely capable,
and with better focus and problem solving, I could be extremely successful. What

There is one more thing, though, that I would like to mention. I truly appreciate
the assessment tools Jim uses in his coaching practice. In fact, this is probably
what drew my attention first, before I heard him laugh or was subjected to his
gentle but probing questions. Through these tools, he got a fairly good picture
of such things as my work style, my personality, how I react under stress.
Knowing these things about me cut through a lot of get-to-know-you time when
I wanted answers NOW! We started work on Day 1.
